Need a “Lyft” to Confluence?

lyft How ‘punny’ is that? The wonderful people at Lyft – a taxi-like company that provides a friendly, affordable way to get to one place to another – are offering Confluence attendees a ride to the conference (or any place of your choosing) on the house! Lyft will provide up to $25 for first-time users, and all you have to do is pick up the phone to request a ride.

Here’s a little bit on how Lyft works: using your newly downloaded app on your iPhone or Android, you can tap the green button to get matched with a friendly, background-checked driver from your community who will pick you up. You can track your driver’s ETA and even see a photo of your driver. When you reach your destination, the app will charge your credit card (which can be securely stored for future use). If you loved your driver and instantly became best friends, you (and your driver) can rate each other to make sure your community standards are met. Oh, did I mention that there will be a big pink mustache attached to the car? It’s hard to miss!

On Saturday, Lyft will send a car to pick you up, and you’ll be on your way to finding your digital space.

You can click here to download the Lyft app and follow the directions. Want to save the $25 credit for later (after the drinks courtesy of Roughtail, for example)? No problem. If you have any questions, Lyft is here to help.
