Journalism Disrupted – Steve Lackmeyer

 

Bio: Steve Lackmeyer is a reporter and columnist who started his career at The Oklahoman in 1990. He covered the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995 and has won numerous awards for his journalism since. Steve writes the popular OKC Central Blog on NewsOK.com, which focuses on downtown Oklahoma City news and is the author of numerous books including OKC Second Time Around, Skirvin, Bricktown and Foraging in Oklahoma.

Topic: His talk “Journalism Disrupted” will explore how disruptive technologies like blogging and social networks like Twitter have changed journalism irreversibly, and provide insight into how journalists can use these new tools to their advantage.
