Sitting in my squeaky desk chair at home, I was twirling my pen. I was toying with the idea of using fiction in a blog post when all of the sudden the screen I was staring at began to glitch with jagged lines up and down, and the speakers on each side of my desk were hissing and booming in what seemed like every frequency.
A quick flash of blinding light, and through a vapor cloud I could see a burly man standing in my kitchen dressed in a thinned down, pearl-white Ironman suit. He was holding a white helmet, which he extended to me and asked, “Would you like to find your space?”
Having already committed my afternoon to finding an exciting story for the blog, I was obliged to accept. I grabbed the helmet, and as soon as I pressed it to the crown of my head, it unfolded a thousand different directions to form a full suit around my body (and it was obviously not built to accommodate a man who spent all Labor Day weekend over-eating Tex-Mex.).

I blink and here we are in a room with pearl-white walls and ceilings. Four men rise from leather chairs and take our helmets. The burly man turns to face a taller man in a black jacket and mirrored visor helmet (turns out Daft Punk was right).
“All around you… are beings” the tall man says. “Over 99 percent of the beings vibrate at a different frequency from you, and you will never experience their existence until you raise your frequency to theirs.
“Most of the beings around us have continually raised their vibrations to the next phaze by exposing their current systems to amplified energy waves.
“There are energy spikes around us, beings who emit so highly in the spectrum, that they produce a harmonic series that can bend light and matter itself.” The man unbuckles a latch at the top of his neck, and his helmet loosens with a pressurized blast of air.
Finally hearing his unhindered James Lankford-esque voice, he finishes: “We get close enough to these spikes to record the wave patterns. If we play back our recordings at a Quava Ratio we can help other beings achieve their own phaze shift.”
By now, I’m convinced that I’m being recruited for a government experiment. “What does this have to do with me?”
“We have a geyser in the system,” he says with a grin. “If we can capture the wave patterns of the 35.485950, -97.539946 sector with a large congregation of light beings, we can create a hemi-spherical flare large enough to phaze up every being within a quarter mile of the sector.”
“Still waiting for what you want from me, Deadmau5 breath”.
“We have detected that you and your light force will be precisely in the center of the Quava flare zone, on the sixth day of the ninth month of your planet year.
“You mean Confluence Conference?!” I blurt out.
“Indeed, monkey breath.”
“We have recorded waves of the strongest light beings from your ‘city’, and plan to create one of the largest Quava flares in history”
I raise my eyebrows.
“Everyone exposed to these light and sound waves will go through a process which your people commonly refer to as ‘enlightenment.’ They will undergo a change that enhances their being, and the space immediately around them. The charge will be enough to orbit and enlighten each being for the next 365 Earth days.”
It sounds legit, and they DID give me a helmet. “What do I need to do?” I ask.
“Our programmers were able to code the waves into a binary string that your digital machines can interpret. You’ll be able to phaze up the light beings around you by broadcasting THIS sequence of sound and lights.”
….
And so here we are, 2 days before Confluence Conference, September 6th.
That day, the tall man handed me a pearl-white thumb drive, the contents of which I have shared with no other being until now. The following sequence of light and sound from Oklahoma artists is for the good of all mankind. Fingers crossed, I hope this works:
